A speed of 17.9 knots (20.1 MPH) was reached in flat water on Charlotte Harbor while sailing from Punta Gorda to Burnt Store Marina. 11 guests were on the starboard foredeck as we sailed on a broad reach in 15 knots of ENE wind (off shore wind). A sustained gust of between 18 and 20 knots came across the water and the Dragon excellerated to the speed shown.
